Brainstorming

 Interactive learning techniques

One of what our students need most at this time, in my opinion, is to involve them in the education process, and one of these means is the adoption of interactive education in the classroom.

There are one technique used in interactive learning:

Brainstorming students usually conduct sessions of interactive brainstorming, and this process is useful for generating creative ideas, and this method helps to link information together, and types of interactive brainstorming include: structured and unstructured, negative or reverse thinking, and interaction through electronic applications or Individual brainstorming, and others.

Dialogue session The participants meet in sessions focusing on one topic, where each student contributes a group of ideas, and the teacher should encourage discussion and cooperation between students within each group, and everyone should learn from each other's interventions and experiences.

Photography

If you prepare a tidy and tasty lunch table, can you start eating before you picture it?
And if you photographed it, would you like to post those pictures to a social media?

Photography is now easier than ever, just take your smartphone and start taking pictures of anything your eyes see, editing it and using the appropriate filter.
But do you know that photography has many benefits even if you don't post these pictures to Facebook or Instagram ?!
First, it brings back memories and beautiful moments that you do not want to forget, especially after the departure of a person dear to your heart.
I read someone saying: "Photography represents for me the ability to control and stop the document at certain moments and to preserve these moments despite the passage of time."
Like all hobbies, doing it helps relieve stress and make you feel comfortable, as if you are exercising or shopping, for example.
Also, do not forget that if you are a photography professional, you can make a lot of money, so take your camera now, and let's go.

Nevmekan

Do you prefer to study at home, or in the library?

Personally, I prefer to study at home, unless the library is like NEVMEKAN, where you can find a unique atmosphere.

Let me tell you a bit about this wonderful library, it is one of the important places for Istanbul culture and the art of living in Istanbul, It was first opened in Bağlarbaşı in 2016 with the restoration of the old IETT garage, is also one of the best examples of the idea of the National Coffee House.

It's founded by Üsküdar Municipality Mayor Hilmi Türkmen with the vision of presenting a new symbol to the culture of Istanbul, serves Istanbulites and world citizens on the Üsküdar coast with its library of 50 thousand books, exhibition hall, art and cultural activities.

This library is open 24 hours, receiving students and those who want to enjoy studying in a calm atmosphere with the sound of the waves and the smell of books, and also the food and drinks in it are very delicious, and good service. So if you like books, you will enjoy the experience of eating gourmet food in a fancy library.

My experience in making curriculums

My story began with the curriculum only two years ago, when I moved to Turkey and started teaching Arabic to non-speaking children. One of the biggest challenges that we faced was choosing a curriculum that was appropriate to the school’s orientations, with a nice Islamic character.

Sometimes, I wrote some stories by myself  and I did some exercises that were appropriate for the purpose and grammar, until the administration encouraged us to create our own curriculum, and after reading a lot in this field and seeing the international standards in teaching the second language, and the topics that should be addressed in this age (8-10) such as SEFR and ACTFL standards, and started actually producing the first and second level book, and currently we are working at the third level with a team of professors and experts in this field.

I hope this book is a good start in the field of writing curricula for kids.
